(Excuse spelling and any grammatical errors, I hate talk text and don't text well on my phone)....
I already have found some great info on this sight that I've been searching for awhile online. I have been on opiates for over 10 yrs eventually graduated to heroin and in the last 3 yrs I'm pretty sure most of what I get is mixed with fent, the last year or so I'm pretty sure I am getting straight fent. I tried ro detox about 2 yrs ago and didn't use suboxone becuz I experienced precis once b4 and it was horrible. My attempt ro detox 2 yrs ago off fent was so different then any of my previous MANY opiate detoxes... I didn't really experience and wd symptoms for almost 9 days it was so crazy. I'm rambling now but happy for this community. I am really getting desperate I'm about to lose my home and am just so afraid that I won't be able to handle the depression I experience from detox. The mental symptoms are far worse than the physical ones for me. Thanks everyone and goodluck
Hey CeeCee!
Welcome to the community, we are glad to have you!
If you live in the USA or Canada, your dope most probably contains fent. Withdrawal symptoms taking days to get severe is common with fent. Thats because the fent stores in our bodies. Most needle exchanges/harm reduction organizations will hand out fent test strips for free so you can test your dope. Also you can buy them on amazon. (just remember that even if the test shows negative its still possible you dope has some sort of fentanyl analog the test doesn't detect).
Im sorry to hear that your struggling.
I've detoxed off opiates many times in the past and completely agree with you, the fent thats being sold out there is a different beast. The withdrawal are more intense, and they last longer too.
Don't give up hope though. There are still many methods to detox off fent and people are successfully doing alll the time. Try finding a method that works for you.
The mental part is tough. Staying busy helps a lot. Exercising too. You may not be able to exercise in the beginning but as soon as your body can handle it you should consider starting, even if it's something really light like a short walk. Aside from that try and stay positive. Keep reminding yourself why you're doing this and how much better you'll feel in the future. Everything does get better once you get clean.
